Frequently Asked Questions
What areas do you serve?
We specialize in Bruce County, but also service Grey County, Huron County, Perth County and Wellington County. We may be able to accommodate other locales depending on the situation – please contact us for for information.
What does an appraisal cost?
Every property is unique, and appraisal pricing reflects that. A basic residential appraisal will cost $350 + HST, plus any applicable mileage. Waterfront, rural, and otherwise unique properties carry additional fees. Please note we may not always have capacity to take on residential appraisals as we specialize in commercial reports. Please contact us for a commercial or agricultural appraisal quote.
What if I disagree with the valuation?
We are always happy to address any concerns you may have with your appraisal. If there are additional comparables or information you would like us to consider, please let us know. Note that a disagreement on the value does not warrant withholding of payment.
What do you need from me?
Any full appraisal will require an on-site inspection where the appraiser inspects the subject property and any buildings. The appraiser will (ideally) access every room and view the mechanical areas. Commercial appraisals require income and expense information which will be detailed with your quote.
How long does an appraisal take?
Residential appraisals have a typical turnaround time of 3 business days after the date of inspection. Commercial appraisals have a typical turnaround time of 10 business days from inspection, however this can vary based on complexity. Inspection dates are booked as we are available; please contact us for available times.
